The Heritage Difference · Since 1979

Rooted in faith. Growing with purpose.

At Heritage Christian Academy, faith shapes how we learn, how we care for one another, and how we prepare students for what comes next. Our four distinctives guide our community from Preschool through High School.

Our Mission

We glorify God together by equipping students to pursue Jesus and His purpose for their lives.

01 / Faith at the Forefront

Faith isn't an extra.
It's our foundation.

Our mission shapes every part of school life-from classroom learning and chapel to relationships and everyday decisions. Students encounter a biblical worldview throughout their education and are invited to consider what it means to follow Jesus.

Heritage is a missional Christian school, and we welcome families from a variety of faith backgrounds. Families are not required to belong to a particular church or share our beliefs. At the same time, we are intentional about keeping Jesus and biblical teaching at the heart of school life.

Our Core Values
FaithLoveUnityIntegrityDiligence

I love how the presence of Jesus is felt on HCA's campus every single day-through the administrators, teachers, staff, and families. Our children feel loved and seen, and through that love, they're learning more about Jesus and His love for us.

Chapel moments that shape our students.

From our youngest learners to our secondary students, chapel creates age-appropriate opportunities to explore Scripture, grow in faith, and put what we learn into practice.

Preschool

Little Hearts, Big Lessons

Our preschoolers explored God's creation through music, movement, and a special chapel visit with Mrs. Sargent.

Mrs. Sargent, who taught preschool at Heritage for 27 years, returned to share a joyful chapel lesson about God's beautiful creation. Through music, hand motions, and an age-appropriate message, preschoolers learned about the Creator and His love for them.

Lives of Faith and Service

Third graders discovered people who devoted their lives to serving the Lord and shared what they learned.

For this annual Heritage tradition, each third grader read a biography of a Christian hero, past or present, and dressed as that person to share their story in chapel. Mrs. Gaeta challenged students to think about what makes a Christian hero: not exceptional talent, but faithful trust and obedience to God. Later, the class presented its Live Wax Museum, bringing history, research, and faith together.

Growing in Identity and Purpose

Secondary students reflected on identity, belonging, and finding their worth beyond achievement and comparison.

In secondary chapel, students explored the difference between finding their worth in achievement or comparison and understanding their identity in Christ. Fifth graders also joined, offering a glimpse into chapel life in the middle and high school years.

02 / Fundamentals in Academic Excellence

Strong academics. Personal attention.

From Preschool through High School, Heritage combines strong academics with personal attention. Our teachers know their students, recognize their strengths, and provide the encouragement and challenges they need to thrive.

I love that the school meets each student where they are at, with understanding, encouragement, and a commitment to keep the students engaged and challenged.

03 / Family & Fellowship

Known. Loved. Called to Grow.

At Heritage, belonging extends beyond the classroom. We value close relationships among students, teachers, and families, and we love welcoming parents and grandparents into school life.

From volunteering and classroom celebrations to chapel, athletics, and community events, families help shape the relationships and traditions that make Heritage special.

Heritage has provided our children and our entire family with a place to belong and be known. We are thankful to be part of a community that is committed to helping our kids grow into who God wants them to be.

04 / Future Focus

Building on our past. Looking to the future.

Heritage is building on a strong foundation of faith, learning, and community-and looking ahead with purpose.

As we develop our high school and expand student opportunities, this is an exciting time to be part of Heritage. Today's families are helping shape new traditions and milestones for the generations ahead.

Heritage provides not only a strong education, but also a strong Biblical foundation. I feel like those combined with teachers who work to encourage independence and a sense of responsibility helps to equip our kids for whatever God calls them to do

Rooted in Heritage.
A place to belong.

Heritage Christian Academy has long been a place where faith, learning, and relationships come together. Generations of students and families have helped shape our story, and while our campus and programs have grown, our commitment to Christ-centered education and a close-knit community remains.

Our story continues with every family who becomes part of Heritage.

Explore Our Story

Heritage's story reaches back to a vision for Christian education in Bothell. Before the school opened, Ruth Milam prayed beneath a cedar tree on the property, hoping this place would become home to a church and a Christian school.

That cedar still stands near our 104th Avenue entrance, reminding us of the prayerful beginnings of the community we continue to build today.
