Welcome to volunteering at HCA!
We are grateful for the many ways our volunteers serve and support our students, staff, and families. Your time and willingness to serve make a meaningful difference in our school community.

Volunteer Checklist:

• Complete the volunteer application form and Washington State Patrol (WSP) background check form. The WSP background check must be completed every two years.
• Bring your completed volunteer application and WSP form to the Main Office. An administrative assistant will scan your driver's license and register you in our Raptor visitor system. Please bring your driver's license with you.

Volunteer opportunities and sign-ups:
There are many ways to get involved at HCA! Whether you have a few hours to give during the school day or want to be part of events and activities throughout the year, there is a place for you to serve.
 

• Recess and lunch support: Help our students during elementary recess and Secondary lunch and be part of their school day! Talk to your student's principal or director about current opportunities.

• Drop-off and pick-up team: Help make arrival and dismissal run smoothly by welcoming families, assisting students, and supporting our staff during these busy times. 

• PTF volunteer opportunities: Our PTF is a volunteer-led group that supports HCA in countless ways throughout the school year. From helping with school needs to creating opportunities for families to connect, the PTF plays an important role in building our HCA community. Join the PTF team and help make a difference both inside and outside the classroom! 

• W.A.T.C.H. D.O.G.S: W.A.T.C.H. D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a volunteer program that gives dads and father figures an opportunity to be an active presence on campus. WATCH D.O.G.S. volunteers spend time throughout the school day helping with activities, supporting students and staff, and providing an extra set of eyes and ears around campus. It's a great way to serve, get to know our students, and be part of the HCA community.
