Middle School, Grades 6-8

In all of our programs, we embody the core values at HCA. Once you are here, you become forever family. With faith in our unwavering Father, we equip your child to pursue Jesus daily.  Your child will walk through our doors every morning feeling the unconditional love of Christ, and our HCA staff.   In unity, we believe it is important to collaborate together to reach your whole child: spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.  Through leading by example, we encourage your son or daughter to approach every situation with grace and integrity.  Our high standard of excellence in integrated academics motivates your child to challenge himself or herself to demonstrate diligence in every aspect of their lives and beyond their time at HCA.

Middle School

These are the texts that our students use. However, middle school is about much more than academics!

Middle school is a time of opportunity and exploration...
With that in mind, Heritage has a unique middle school experience that encourages them to mature in a Christ-centered environment while engaging with the world around them using the most up-to-date educational resources.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math...
Heritage Christian Academy is uniquely situated in the heart of the most technologically advanced cities in the US.  As such, our middle school program concentrates on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).  Students are able to explore scientific principles in our state-of-the-art science lab, design and construct robots as part of our robotics program and use various tools and technologies as part of their daily curriculum.

Identifying God's Calling & Giftings...
Middle school is a time of change, a time of identifying God’s calling and giftings on our lives.  Heritage offers a wide array of electives to students, encouraging students to try new things.  From culinary to media/journalism to drama to finance, students are free to explore a wide range of exciting opportunities.

Beginnings are important...
Beginnings are important.  Beginnings set the tone and pace for the rest of the year.  That is why we start each school year with a retreat called Fall Away. Guest speakers and song leaders make this a truly enriching experience, and activities make it fun.  However, endings are important too. That is why we also have an overnight retreat in the spring called Spring Here.  Once again, it is a time for students to develop in relationship with each other and God.

Life is meant to be adventurous...
We believe that life is meant to be adventurous.  That is why Heritage continues to offer traveling opportunities to its middle school students.  From Eastern Washington to Washington D.C., students get opportunities to interact with the world around them, learning about what it means to be a good citizen and steward of the earth.
