General secondary information

First Day of School- September 3rd

The anticipation is building and we as a staff cannot wait to welcome you on Wednesday, September 3, at 8:00 AM for your first day of school. We are excited about what God is going to do this year at HCA and believe that you are here for a reason. We are already intentionally praying for each of you and look forward to creating an atmosphere where you feel loved, cared for, and challenged to grow as students as well as in your understanding of who Jesus is! Know that my door is always open if you need anything!

Drop-off:
Students may be dropped off in the middle school lot (see map below, Middle/High School lot is pink), and doors will open at 7:45. Students will report directly to their first-period class. 

Opening Convocation:
Families are welcome to join us for the Opening Convocation Chapel at 8:45 in the gym. Please check in at the main office before proceeding to the gym balcony for chapel.

Chapel attire is required for students, and Wednesdays are not a PE dress day.  Please refer to the uniform policy here.

Pick-up:
Middle and high schoolers are dismissed at 2:45, and parents/guardians pick up in the middle school lot. If students are participating in athletics, they will change and proceed to their respective practice locations.

Computer Contract

We offer 1:1 computer access to our middle & high school students. We will be issuing student laptops in class within the first few days of school.  In order to receive a laptop, we need to have received the signed agreement form (see below). We will also have copies for you to take home and review at Mrs. Dickinson's station at the Meet and Greet.

Locker Sign-Up

Students have the opportunity to sign up for a locker by clicking the link below. We are encouraging students to sign up and utlilize these lockers as they will have textbooks, notebooks and resources that are class specific and will not be necessary to carry around each day.

ASB Cards

ASB Cards will be automatically charged to your FACTS account. Cost is $25. ASB will allow for discounted pricing for events (including Fall Away, dances, etc.) as well as allow for students to attend local school sporting events at discounted pricing.

Middle schoolers mark your calendars for our MS Fall Away event! This will be a day filled with a chance for you to connect with your peers and teachers through games, lunch, worship, and a challenge from God's Word. We will take the day away from school and head to Cedar Springs Camp in Lake Stevens!

Be sure to grab your Fall Away TICKET from Mr. Benzel at the Back to School Social! Save that ticket to be entered into a raffle at Fall Away!

$150/student
High schoolers mark your calendars for our HS Retreat! This will be a great few days away to connect, grow in relationships with one another, and be challenged to consider what it means to live out our school theme of "The Battle Belongs"! We will be heading over to Cedar Springs Camp in Naches, WA!

All 11th/12th graders!
We are excited to begin building our worship team for the school year! You will have the opportunity to lead worship at HCA Secondary Chapels and potentially a few other events throughout the year! You don't even have to commit to sing/play upfront. There are other opportunities for you to serve behind the scenes! Please click the link below to express  your interest!
