Your child is our priority

health, safety, and belonging

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 91:2

student health

At Heritage, we are proud to have a licensed nurse (RN, BSN, CPN) on campus five full days a week, supported by a dedicated assistant. Having a nurse on campus ensures immediate, professional care for our students and staff, promotes a healthy learning environment, and provides peace of mind for families. Our health team compassionately supports student well-being and fosters open communication with parents to address health needs promptly and effectively. Our staff is certified in First Aid and CPR.

campus security

Our campus is equipped with advanced security technology and robust safety features to maintain a secure environment for everyone. We prioritize campus security by regularly updating our policies and procedures, and by providing comprehensive training to all staff members. Our close collaboration with local police and fire departments enhances our emergency preparedness. We equip our students through regular safety drills and keep parents informed with clear, timely communication.

safety and belonging

We understand that a true sense of safety and belonging goes far beyond building security. Our school community is intentionally designed so every student feels welcomed, valued, and secure at every stage of their journey. From our character trait curriculum to positive role modeling, from our commitment to respectful interactions to fostering lifelong friendships, we want every child to know they are seen, known, and loved.

Clear boundaries and age-appropriate mentorship provide a framework where students feel protected and supported. We work purposefully to equip students to be advocates, friends, leaders, and caring servants—empowering them to thrive within a nurturing environment.

Our administrators are visible and engaged across campus—greeting students in the morning, mingling during lunch, and even directing traffic at pickup—making sure every child and family is recognized and cared for. By equipping and supporting our teachers, we ensure that the culture of safety, care, and belonging runs deep and touches every classroom and hallway.

LEarn how we promote healthy and safe belonging in:

Preschool

We foster secure belonging in preschool by providing a nurturing environment with consistent routines, close partnerships with families, and small class sizes that help every child feel safe, supported, and celebrated as they begin their learning journey.

Kindergarten

Supportive routines, a positive classroom culture, and intentional community-building activities help create a safe sense of belonging in kindergarten, celebrating each child's unique contributions.

Elementary

We create belonging in elementary by celebrating each child's individuality, fostering genuine connections, and nurturing a welcoming community where every student feels seen, valued, and included.

Middle School

By establishing clear, supportive boundaries and nurturing relationships that honor the transformative stage of adolescence, we ensure every middle schooler feels a deep sense of safety and belonging as they grow.

High School

As our high schoolers prepare to soar from the HCA nest, we provide servant leadership opportunities that build on the strong foundation of their educational years, confident in the knowledge that they belong to their loving Savior, who has great plans for their lives.

Athletics

By offering a place for everyone, regardless of athletic ability, we foster a unique sense of belonging that comes from being part of a team grounded in Christ’s love.
