Discovering who you're becoming.
More independence. New interests. Deeper friendships. Middle school at Heritage is a place to explore who God is calling you to become-with people who know you along the way.

Big changes. A place to belong.
These are years of discovering new strengths, asking bigger questions, and finding your voice. At Heritage, students have room to grow while teachers walk alongside them with care, encouragement, and meaningful expectations.
Friendships, shared traditions, and a Christ-centered community help students feel known-not just for what they achieve, but for who they are.

Challenged to think. Equipped to succeed.
Middle School students are challenged to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and take greater ownership of their learning. Strong academics, engaging instruction, and high expectations prepare them for High School and beyond. Bible class is part of the school day, helping students study Scripture, explore a biblical worldview, and connect what they learn to everyday life.
Smaller class sizes allow teachers to recognize individual strengths, offer meaningful challenges, and provide guidance when students need it.
Learning through discovery.
Science comes to life through hands-on labs, experiments, and opportunities to investigate the world God created.
More ways to discover your strengths.
Electives give students room to explore-from debate, culinary arts, and leadership to drama, music, and art. These are just a few examples; offerings may vary by semester based on student interests, staffing, and scheduling.

A community where students belong.
"One of the things we really want our students to experience in the secondary school is a genuine sense of belonging."Mrs. Chelsea McLeod · Secondary teacher
At Heritage, belonging begins with being known. Teachers invest in students as individuals, and friendships give them the confidence to be themselves and grow.
More than a school day.
Students do more than participate in school life. They help create it-through traditions, leadership, service, and shared experiences.
School traditions & community
From friendly competitions to schoolwide celebrations, students build traditions and memories together.
Along the way, they take initiative, lead their peers, and discover how their gifts can make a difference in the Heritage community.
Chapel that speaks to real life.
Chapel is one way we live our mission: "We glorify God together by equipping students to pursue Jesus and His purpose for their lives." Through biblical teaching, worship, and honest conversations, students are invited to connect faith with friendships, choices, and everyday life.
A closer look at chapel
In a recent middle and high school chapel, Mr. Grant Benzel, Athletic and Spiritual Formations Director, reflected on the hymn "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" and how easy it can be to drift from our faith when life feels routine, exhausting, or disconnected. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 5, he encouraged students to surround themselves with people who strengthen their faith, encourage one another through challenges, practice self-control, and reflect the love of Jesus in their everyday lives.

Known beyond the classroom.
"It was very obvious that the teachers knew my kid and they knew his strengths. They were encouraging and they knew him as a person, not just as a student in their class."Heritage parent · Secondary Experience testimonial
For families, those relationships can make all the difference during the middle school years.
From discovering to becoming.
Middle school is a time to discover who you're becoming. High school builds on that foundation-helping students prepare for who they're called to be.
