Please review HCA's cell phone policy (found in the HCA Parent/Student Handbook) with your student. In the event of device confiscation, a parent/guardian will need to pick up the device from the main office. It will be kept in a locked box.
Students in grades K-8 : Phones must be silenced and in backpacks for the duration of the school day. Smart watches may be worn, but the phone features (texting, Internet viewing, and calls) are to be off during the school day. Students are prohibited from using phones, tablets, and other mobile devices in restrooms and locker rooms, unless there is a medical necessity or emergency. After two warnings in violation of this policy, the device will be confiscated for the remainder of the day. After two confiscations, the device will no longer be allowed on campus. If the guardian of a student needs to reach said student during the school day, they are to call the main office and the office will connect the student to the guardian.
