All 6th grade students will take our "Eagle Bootcamp" elective during the first semester. Please see the class description below for more information.
We have 4 elective options for first semester. Please have your student read through the options and rank them #1-4. They will then go to the elective form and communicate their 1st-4th choice of electives.

While we will do our best to match student preferences, we cannot guarantee elective placement.
middle school ELECTIVEs

Eagle Boot Camp
All sixth graders begin their middle school journey with this required first-semester elective. The course equips students with essential organizational, study, and technology skills, including using their laptops and Microsoft Office applications. Through guest speakers and discussions on Heritage's culture, leadership, service, and character, students will build a strong foundation for success in middle school and beyond.

Creative Music
Students will explore music through hands-on experience with piano, guitar, songwriting, and music creation. This non-performance-based course will give students opportunities to build basic instrumental skills, experiment with composing and arranging, and develop their own musical ideas.
No previous musical experience required.

Student Leadership

Art
Middle School Art provides students with opportunities to explore their creativity while building foundational artistic skills. Through a variety of drawing, painting, mixed media, and design projects, students will develop technique, artistic expression, and an appreciation for the creative gifts God has given them.

Study Hall & Life Skills
Study Hall & Life Skills provides students with dedicated time to complete assignments while developing habits that lead to long-term success. Through guided support, students will strengthen organization, time management, study strategies, goal setting, and other practical life skills that will help them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
