Suit Up with the Armor of God: 2nd Grade Share Chapel

Our second-grade students, guided by their teachers, Mrs. Jackson and Ms. Mac, diligently prepared for their Share Chapel presentation. On Wednesday, they inspired the entire elementary with a special message about the Armor of God. Drawing from Ephesians 6, which encourages us to put on the full armor of God, groups of students performed skits highlighting each piece of armor described in the passage. Each group introduced their assigned piece and then presented a real-life scenario, demonstrating how we can “suit up” with God’s armor and overcome challenges with God’s strength, wisdom, and protection!

They suited up with the:
  • Belt of Truth
  • Breastplate of Righteousness
  • Sandals of Peace
  • Shield of Faith
  • Helmet of Salvation
  • Sword of the Spirit

The students reminded us to face difficult situations as Jesus would. They shared powerful examples, such as:
  • “God made me in His own image, and the Bible says I can do all things through Christ.”
  • “I forgive you, because God also forgives me.”
  • “God is the one who created the world and everything in it.”

They concluded the chapel by leading everyone in a song that reinforced the importance of “suiting up” with the full armor of God. We left inspired, “tying our shoes with the readiness to share the GOOD NEWS!” Thank you, second-grade students and teachers, for showing us how to SUIT UP!
